Tom Quilty buckle holder and winner of 100 mile rides, as an Open Endurance Horse Sahara successfully completed over 2 000 km with just one vet out – and that was for a freak hoof injury sustained whilst competing.   With a ‘never say die’ attitude she was a fierce competitor on track and then with fabulous heart rate and metabolic recoveries, she was often a contender and subsequently awarded Best Conditioned and Best Managed Horse on many occasions within her short but illustrious career.
